Idaho State University is located in Pocatello, Idaho. The closest major hub is Salt Lake City which is 2.5 hours south of Pocatello (on I-15). There are flights into Pocatello and sometimes it is affordable to fly into Pocatello from Salt Lake City (occasionally it is only $100 for the round-trip to SLC). There is also an airport in Idaho Falls, Idaho which is 50 miles north of Pocatello. Both locations have rental cars if that is desirable.
There is an alternative to flying into Pocatello as there is a shuttle that runs from Provo to Great Falls Montana every 90 minutes or so. It is $48 to ride (one-way) from the airport baggage pickup to the Maverick (Exit 69) in Pocatello on the Salt Lake Express (http://www.saltlakeexpress.com/). The downside is you need to make connections from the Maverick to wherever you are staying.
